🌎 HOW THIS COMPARES TO OTHER WAYS TO EARN ONLINE

THIS ISN’T SOME STRANGE NEW INTERNET THING. 😂

You already understand almost every piece of it.

  • YouTube.
  • Social media.
  • Blogs and running websites.
  • Race and event pages.
  • Advertising.
  • Affiliate marketing.
  • Websites.

FREAK SITES DIDN’T INVENT ANY OF THOSE THINGS.

We just put familiar pieces together differently.

And because this is Runner Freak, it has to belong somewhere around running, runners, races, training, shoes, gear, watches, nutrition, coaches, clubs, stores, race travel, events, injuries, recovery, businesses, creators or the stories around all of it.

It can work like:

  • A classified-style advertisement.
  • A runner page.
  • A race presentation.
  • A race report or running story.
  • A coach, club or running-business page.
  • A training, product or event case study.
  • A page around a video, race weekend, comeback, running trip or ridiculous experiment.
  • Or some combination of them.

SOMETIMES THE ADVERTISEMENT IS THE MEDIA.

SOMETIMES THE MEDIA IS THE ADVERTISEMENT.

  • A runner can tell the story of their first marathon.
  • A race can show people what makes the event worth running.
  • A coach can explain what they do.
  • A running club can show people what they’re building.
  • A store or brand can feature a product, service or idea.
  • A running creator can build around a video, podcast or story.
  • Or somebody can publish an opinion, comparison or analysis about the running world itself.

THE PARKING SPOT SOLD EITHER WAY.

The runner, race, product, training idea, business or story gives somebody a reason to look.

YouTube already has the viewers.

A creator makes something, publishes it and tries to attract some of that attention.

If that creator qualifies for YouTube’s monetization systems, YouTube has ways to turn attention around that media into creator revenue.

RUNNER FREAK PUTS THE MONEY IN A DIFFERENT PLACE.

  1. I build a Parking Spot.
  2. I distribute it.
  3. People look at it.

THE VIEWS THEMSELVES DO NOT PAY ME.

But while somebody is reading or looking at what I created, they’re also looking at the advertising and media product I used to create it.

  • Maybe they’re reading a race report.
  • Maybe they’re discovering a marathon.
  • Maybe they’re learning about a runner, coach or club.
  • Maybe they’re looking for a running store, photographer, training program or event.
  • Maybe they’re reading an argument about shoes, training, race prices or why somebody willingly paid money to run 26.2 miles. 😂

But at the same time, the Parking Spot itself is demonstrating what a Parking Spot can do.

If they think:

“WAIT. I COULD BUILD ONE OF THESE.”

and buy an eligible Runner Freak product through my affiliate relationship?

That’s where the affiliate income can begin.

Different monetization point.

Same familiar Internet behavior:

CREATE → PUBLISH → GET ATTENTION → TURN SOME OF THAT ATTENTION INTO MONEY.

YOUTUBE CAN PUT ADVERTISING AROUND THE MEDIA.

RUNNER FREAK LETS THE ADVERTISEMENT BE THE MEDIA — WHILE THE MEDIA ALSO DEMONSTRATES THE PRODUCT.

Social media already has the attention.

THE INTERNET ALREADY BUILT THE AUDIENCES.

  • YouTube has the viewers.
  • Social platforms already have runners, race directors, coaches, clubs, brands and conversations.
  • Facebook already has the feeds and running groups.
  • Google already has the search intent.
  • Race websites and registration platforms already have people looking for races.

I just need the little piece of attention where what I built actually belongs.

Runner Freak doesn’t need to replace those places.

I WANT TO USE THEM.

  • A post starts the conversation.
  • A video introduces the race, runner, product or idea.
  • A reply gets somebody curious.
  • A search puts somebody in front of the subject.
  • The Parking Spot gives that attention somewhere deeper to go.

THE PLATFORMS ARE WHERE I FIND THE ATTENTION.

THE PARKING SPOT IS WHERE I GIVE THE ATTENTION A JOB.

  • Read.
  • Watch.
  • Discover the race.
  • Learn about the runner, coach, club or business.
  • Contact somebody.
  • Follow a link.
  • Register, buy or learn somewhere else.

A race or event page helps somebody understand what the event is and decide whether they care.

  • Race name.
  • Date.
  • Location.
  • Distance.
  • Registration information.

Useful.

But sometimes I want more room than the registration page gives me.

I may want to tell the story behind the race.

Explain why somebody should run it.

Add photographs.

Embed a video.

Talk about the course, the city, the weekend or what happened last year.

Tell somebody where to register.

Or write something interesting enough that somebody discovers the race without starting out looking for it at all.

THE REGISTRATION PAGE CAN HANDLE THE REGISTRATION.
THE PARKING SPOT CAN HELP TELL THE STORY AROUND IT.

Those are different jobs.

This comparison makes a lot of sense on Runner Freak.

A blog post, race report, training article, product review or running story gives somebody room to actually say something.

A Parking Spot can do that too.

  • Tell a story.
  • Make an argument.
  • Explain a race or training idea.
  • Publish commentary or a review.
  • Add photos.
  • Embed supported video.
  • Link somewhere else.

The difference is that the Parking Spot is also the product being demonstrated while somebody reads it.

THE RUNNING STORY CAN BE THE CONTENT.
THE PAGE CAN ALSO BE THE ADVERTISEMENT.
AND THE PARKING SPOT IS STILL THE PRODUCT.

A classified ad gives you a piece of space.

You put something into it.

You try to connect with somebody interested in what you’re offering.

A Runner Freak Parking Spot can absolutely do that.

But it can also do a whole lot more than a conventional little ad.

  • Tell the runner’s or race’s story.
  • Explain the event, training program or project.
  • Show photos and video.
  • Publish a race report, review, comparison or commentary where appropriate.
  • Explain a running product, service or business.
  • Give somebody a direct way to make contact or follow a link.

A CLASSIFIED-STYLE ADVERTISING AND MEDIA PRODUCT THAT CAN DO A WHOLE LOT MORE THAN “RACE THIS SATURDAY — CALL BOB.” 😂

  1. You recommend a product.
  2. Somebody buys through the qualifying affiliate relationship.
  3. You can earn a commission.

That part is familiar.

What I like about Runner Freak is that I can show somebody the product I’m talking about.

I don’t have to say:

“TRUST ME. YOU COULD BUILD SOMETHING COOL HERE.”

I can say:

“HERE. LOOK AT WHAT I BUILT.”

The page may be telling a marathon story, promoting a race, explaining a coaching service, reviewing something from the running world or publishing an argument about training, shoes, travel, events or whatever else runners are talking about.

At the same time, it’s demonstrating the Parking Spot product itself.

THE PRODUCT BECOMES PART OF THE SALES PRESENTATION.

A website gives you somewhere to publish things you control.

Great.

I build websites too. 😂

But not everybody wants to build, host, maintain and organize an entire website just to give one race, runner, training program, club, business, product, video or story somewhere to live.

A Parking Spot gives somebody a smaller starting point.

ONE PAGE.
ONE URL.
INSIDE A RUNNING-FOCUSED SITE.
SEVEN BUCKS.

  • Build one.
  • Then another.
  • Over time, build a collection of your races, stories, training, projects, businesses or running adventures.

Maybe they use it to feature a race.

Maybe they use it to tell their marathon story.

Maybe they use it to advertise coaching, a running club, store, photography, training, travel or another running service.

Maybe they use it to publish a review, race report, training experiment, video, comeback story or something else around running.

THE PARKING SPOT SOLD EITHER WAY.

And if somebody later registers for the race somewhere else?

Great.

If somebody hires the coach?

Great.

If somebody buys the shoes, joins the club, books the hotel, signs up for a training plan or completes some other running-related transaction?

Great.

BUT THOSE ARE THEIR TRANSACTIONS.

This is Runner Freak.

  • Runners.
  • Marathons, half-marathons, 10Ks, 5Ks and trail races.
  • Training and coaching.
  • Shoes, apparel, watches and gear.
  • Nutrition, recovery and injuries.
  • Running clubs and communities.
  • Race travel and destinations.
  • Running stores, brands and businesses.
  • Creators, photographers, podcasts and videos.
  • Finish lines, failures, comebacks, personal records and everything else that genuinely belongs around running.

The content still has to fit the Island.

  • Terms apply.
  • Moderation applies.

Seven bucks doesn’t buy somebody a free pass to turn Runner Freak into absolutely anything they want. 😂

THE NICHE IS PART OF THE PRODUCT.

ADVERTISING + MEDIA

You buy the Parking Spot and use it as an advertisement, a media asset or both at the same time.

PUBLISHING

You build something around runners, races, training, shoes, gear, coaches, clubs, travel, businesses or the rest of the running world that people may actually want to see, read or watch.

EXISTING ATTENTION

You use platforms, runners, audiences, search and conversations that already exist to help people discover what you built.

DISCOVERY

You give the race, runner, coach, club, product, business or story another way to be found.

AFFILIATE MARKETING

If somebody sees the product being used and purchases an eligible Runner Freak product through your qualifying affiliate relationship, you can earn a commission.

CONNECTED DISTRIBUTION

If some customers later independently become approved affiliates and create customers of their own, you don’t have to be the only person building.

THE CONTENT GETS ATTENTION.

THE PARKING SPOT IS THE ADVERTISEMENT, THE MEDIA CONTAINER AND THE PRODUCT.

THE VIEW PROVES SOMEBODY LOOKED.

THE SALE CREATES THE AFFILIATE INCOME.

OTHER INDEPENDENT PEOPLE CREATING, DEMONSTRATING AND SELLING THE PRODUCT CREATE THE LEVERAGE.

You already understand the pieces.

Runner Freak just connects them differently.
